Appointments for the Doctorcalendar

These can be arranged by telephone or by calling in person.  Where necessary please give the receptionists an outline of your problem, including details of how long you have had the problem, so that they can organize an appropriate appointment or seek advice from the doctors.

Booking Appointments Online

Patients can now access online appointment booking via the above link. If you wish to register to be able to use the online features, please call into your nearest surgery for your registration to be completed. We require a photo ID for this registration.

Extended Surgeries

Extended surgeries are available on Tuesday evenings, the surgery is open until 20:00. These appointments are specifically provided for the use of patients who cannot attend the surgery during the core working hours.

Patients Preference of Practitioner

You have to right to express a preference to receive services from a particular practitioner.  If you do express a preference, you will be given an appointment in their next available clinic.  This may not be possible in the case of an urgent appointment request.

Appointments are usually for ten minutes unless it is for minor surgery or a medical examination, which takes longer.  Please inform the receptionist if this is the case.

Telephone Advice

If you would like to speak to the doctor for advice but are unable to attend the surgery, please contact the receptionist who will be able to advise you of an appropriate time to telephone.  If possible, give an indication of what you would like to discuss (unless there is something confidential which you would prefer to discuss with the doctor only).

Appointments for the Nurse

We operate a booked appointment system for all clinics. When booking your appointment please let reception know what your appointment is for so that they can advise you when would be the best time for you to come and the length of appointment you require.

Teaching & Training

The practice occasionally undertakes the teaching/training of health care professionals; we will always seek your permission for the trainee to participate/observe during your consultation.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. The practice runs a DNA (did not attend) policy.
